Employee will be responsible for providing advanced office administrative/clerical support to the unit as well as confidential support to the Director and the Deputy Director(s) of the Training and Education Division.
Duties include but not limited to:
Perform data entry of course/class information, training records, personnel transaction, etc.
Update and maintain current and accurate records in multiple databases.
Receive room/venue reservations requests, maintain multiple classroom calendars, check for and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
Handle a variety of inquiries and requests through multiple email boxes.
Facilitate the application process for retired officers (LEOSA) and issue ID cards upon qualification.
Serve as liaison to the multiple County departments, as well as outside vendors, coordinate requests for technology and facilities, such as repairs and maintenance.
Serve as Agency Representative, acting as the training liaison to the Maryland Police Training Commission.
Assist Entry level unit in preparation for incoming recruit classes, maintaining recruit scores/class rank, as well as recruit graduation events.
Prepare and coordinate the archiving of older academy records.
Document meeting minutes during supervisor staff meetings and distribute to the PSTA staff.
Provide scheduling support for the Director's calendar.
Order and maintain inventory of PSTA office supplies.
General and clerical duties to include, but not limited to file, receive and distribute mail and deliveries, answer and direct phone calls and voicemails made to the PSTA main line and greet visitors.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Four (4) years of administrative/office support experience.
Education:
Completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred Criteria There is no Preferred Criteria.
All applicants will be reviewed by OHR for minimum qualifications.
Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be rated Qualified, placed on the Eligible List, and may be considered for interview.
Preference for interviews will be given to applicants with experience in the following:
Experience utilizing personal computers, programs, and software to include Word, Access, Excel PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook email and calendar.
Experience providing executive level support, including managing complex and constantly changing calendars and experience applying a broad knowledge of general government operations, procedures and policies.
Experience with proficient data entry and record keeping of complicated, confidential and/or multiple files and records.
Experience meeting time-sensitive deadlines, organizing and prioritizing work.
Experience working in a training or education environment or dealing with academic records.
Experience following procedures of a records retention process.
Minimum Salary 51951 Maximum Salary 81315 Currency USD.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
