Summary:
As a Human Resource Coordinator with JLM you will get the opportunity to work with various clients providing administrative HR support on a day-to-day basis.
You will gain experience working with HRIS systems, benefits administration, recruiting support, payroll processing, and a myriad of HR related projects.
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience as you enter into the field of HR and grow your career! JLM's clients include non-profit organizations, professional organizations and government contractors.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Maintains accurate and up-to-date client files, records, and documentation.
Routinely monitors client emails and responds accordingly.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all files and records.
Performs periodic audits of files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Provides administrative support to JLM's Senior HR Consultants.
May assist with payroll functions including reviewing and filing timesheets, answering employee questions, researching processing errors.
Acts as a liaison between JLM and external clients, service providers and vendors.
Conduct or assist with new hire onboarding and orientation.
Assists with planning and execution of internal company, and client events such as benefits enrollment, meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required or Associates degree and 3 years of work experience.
2-3 years of prior related HR and/or office experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn new technology systems, including; human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications Cross-cultural awareness.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
